Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, commercial cleaning, and general maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Conduct commercial cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Carry out facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Assist with industrial cleaning processes in warehouses or production areas as required.
- Provide porter services by ensuring that all areas are free from debris and clutter.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is desirable.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds if necessary.
