Pony Bird Employment Services is seeking to hire a Job Placement Specialist part-time. We are a Not-For-Profit agency in Jefferson County that provides employment supports to individuals with disabilities. The Job Placement Specialist will develop positive employment relationships with local businesses and employers. Establish supports that enable Individuals to access employment opportunities and navigate the hiring process. Teach skills that lead to successful competitive employment. Provides professional representation of both the agency and the job candidate.

STARTING PAY OF $19.20 - $22.75/hr based on education and experience
Schedule: 24-28 hours per week, 4-5 days per week

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma / GED with experience in Job Placement or Sales / Marketing.
2. Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
3. Must be able to travel independently while driving agency or personal vehicle to provide transportation for Individuals served. Must also have a valid driver's license and a good
driving record to allow the agency to insure the employee.
4. Must be able to communicate in an effective and clear manner, in both written and oral form.
5. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Must possess and demonstrate a working knowledge of current computer applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintain attendance according to the policy of the agency and position.
2. Adhere to proper call in and call off procedures as outlined by agency policy.
3. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable Individuals with disabilities to perform the primary functions.
4. Must complete and maintain all necessary training according as outlined in agency policy.
5. Demonstrate proper care and use of all agency property and materials.
6. Responsible to adhere to all physical facility, health, and safety policies and procedures. Each employee is responsible for the health, safety, and well-being of all Individuals
served within their service area.
7. Adhere to agency policies and procedures.
8. Participate in an annual employee service evaluation.
9. Prepare Individuals for their job search, i.e., develop resume, thank you letter, practice interviewing and utilize appropriate job search methods.
10. Assist with job search, i.e., taking Individuals to fill out job applications, filling out on-line applications, attending interviews, advocating with employers, etc.
11. Promote development of client's communication and soft skills for interviewing andemployment
12.Provide transportation to Individuals served using agency vehicles and/or personal vehicle as needed for Individuals served to access community employment sites.
13. Responsible for generating job development logs in a timely manner.
14. Participate in staffings and communication as needed with Individuals served, family members, community partners, referral source, and other team members.
15. Develop and maintain memberships/relationships with area employers and community organizations.
16. Educate employers on Pony Bird services.
17. Identify employment opportunities in the community and have knowledge of local job market.
