Junior Estimator

General contractor located in Beaumont, CA is currently looking for a Junior Estimator
Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist the Chief Estimator

· Assist the Project Manager

· Perform take-offs

· Assemble submittals

· Procure subcontractor bids

· Procure supplier bids

· Review quotes to confirm adherence to plans and specifications

· Recommend resources for projects

· Identify and perform project change orders

· Request bid bonds

· Communicate with customers, both new and existing

· Procure material and equipment

· Demonstrate ability to read and understand contracts, construction documents, and plans

· Experienced in writing detailed scope proposals

· Produce drawings

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

· Strong Computer skills

· Knowledgeable in blueprint reading, computer proficiency, estimating and sales

· Ability to work independently

· Proficient in reading Architectural, Civil, Structural, MEP, and Landscape drawings

· Demonstrates prioritization, organization, time management and problem-solving skills

· Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and excel in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines

· Must be able to write detailed proposals

· Clean driving record

Skills and abilities:

· Familiarity with general engineering and building contractor work

· Excellent skills in both verbal and written communication

· Self-motivated and a critical thinker

· Attend walk-throughs and determine factors that will affect the cost estimate

· Possess strong computer and mathematical skills and perform accurate analysis within deadlines

Experience Required:

· Two years as a general contractor estimator

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
