Sales Associate & Key Carrier – All Departments
Location: Builders Surplus of Louisville
Compensation: Hourly + Commission on All Sales

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Sales Associate & Key Carrier to join our team across all departments, including doors, windows, in-stock kitchen cabinets and countertops, bath vanities and faucets, flooring, tile, and more (kitchen Design a bonus).
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in sales, customer service, or home improvement who is ready to contribute to a fast-paced and growing retail environment. Commissions are paid on all sales!
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key carrier, assisting with store opening, closing, and daily operations
- Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory across multiple departments
- Assist with ordering merchandise and support the store manager as needed
- Stock shelves and ensure displays across departments are clean, organized, and visually appealing
- Provide exceptional customer service, guiding customers in selecting products and making purchases
- Demonstrate product knowledge across departments: doors, windows, kitchen and bath products, flooring, tile, and more
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and warehouse equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment
- Follow all safety protocols and operational guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, home improvement, or a related field
- Knowledge of our products, special order processes, and installed sales
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Forklift certification is a plus (training available)
