Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Team Member to join our busy bakery. This role is essential to keeping our kitchen running smoothly and ensuring our guests enjoy fresh, high-quality food. Responsibilities include prepping and assembling sandwiches, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and assisting with basic kitchen tasks as needed. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, follows recipes accurately, and takes pride in delivering consistent, delicious products to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepping and assembling sandwiches according to bakery standards and recipes
- Maintaining proper food storage and rotation (FIFO) to ensure freshness
- Keeping a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation at all times
- Assisting with general kitchen prep, such as portioning ingredients or packaging items
- Following all food safety and hygiene guidelines
- Communicating with the team to ensure smooth service during busy hours
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and cooking support.
- Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers.
- Good communication skills to understand instructions from supervisors and coordinate with team members.
- Willingness to assist in various kitchen tasks beyond dishwashing as needed, demonstrating flexibility in roles within the hospitality sector.
