Job Overview:
Under supervision of Construction Manager or Lead Supervisor, employees will perform a variety of rigorous physical tasks outdoors in all types of weather in support of geophysical investigation activities and general construction labor work.
Work may include: Moving/pushing geophysics cart over various terrains, assisting geophysicist in taking readings, general construction labor work
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- load and unload construction materials from trucks both manually and with lifting equipment
- Remove, fill, or compact earth, hand dig around foundations and utilities, pour concrete, lay asphalt, handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Operate hand tools and power tools, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials
- Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment
Basic Qualifications:
- MUST LIVE WITHIN DAILY COMMUTE OF PUEBLO, CO
- Must be 18 years of age
- Able to work outside in all types of weather
- Current driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience with previous construction and/or environmental project work preferred.
- Requires physical strength, stamina, flexibility, and dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Preferred applicant will have current OSHA HAZWOPER training, not required, will train.
- A resume is preferred but not required when applying.
- Dependable transportation and cell phone service
- Current schedule:
- Mon-Fri, 10 hrs/day
- 15 min morning/afternoon breaks
- 30 min meal break

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $20 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
