Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forman to lead our construction teams in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of construction management, and the ability to effectively supervise and coordinate various aspects of construction operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are executed according to schematics and contractual obligations while maintaining safety and efficiency on-site.
Duties
- Supervise and manage daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to facilitate smooth operations.
- Utilize construction management software such as HeavyBid and ProCore for project tracking and reporting.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to schematics.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate construction estimates and timelines.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a positive work environment.
- Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
Skills
- Proficiency in construction management software (HeavyBid, ProCore) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of budgeting processes and construction estimating techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.
- Excellent supervisory skills with a proven track record of managing teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on achieving project goals.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Experience in contract management is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
