This role follows a hybrid schedule based out of our Calhoun office, reporting to the Landscape Operations Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will ensure smooth, efficient delivery of landscape materials from suppliers to job sites. Managing end-to-end logistics, shipments, and data accuracy, this role drives timely, cost-effective results that keep projects on track and customers satisfied.

What you’ll do:
- Shipment Coordination – Schedule and track inbound/outbound shipments with plants, suppliers, commercial teams, and customers; manage carrier booking, quoting, and customs documentation.
- Data & Documentation Management – Maintain accurate shipping data in Syspro, SharePoint, Salesforce, and Excel; record freight movements and update systems in real time.
- Cost Optimization – Select transportation options that balance cost and service; negotiate LTL carrier rates; monitor freight spend and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Customer & Supplier Communication – Act as the logistics point of contact; provide freight quotes, updates, and proactive communication to ensure satisfaction.
- Claims & Issue Resolution – File and manage freight claims; investigate issues; negotiate settlements; maintain claims reporting.
- Compliance & Safety – Ensure all shipments follow company safety policies and compliance standards; prepare customs documentation and trade agreements as required.
- Operational Efficiency – Identify recurring logistics challenges; support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
What you need for success:
- Experience: 3–5 years in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Syspro, Salesforce, and Excel; strong understanding of logistics systems.
- Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written skills to manage customer, supplier, and internal relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve logistics issues and manage freight claims accurately.
- Organization: Strong ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to accuracy in documentation, shipment tracking, and communication.
- Experience working with LTL carriers, including rate negotiations.
- Familiarity with customs processes and international documentation.
- Industry knowledge in turf, sports surfacing, or construction logistics.
