Responsibilities:
- Lead small-to-mid scale residential and light commercial projects from start to finish with confidence and care
- Perform a wide range of skilled trades work - including carpentry, drywall, basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance
- Represent Handyzee on the job site: deliver a professional, friendly, and trustworthy experience that makes customers feel at ease
- Communicate proactively with clients and the Handyzee team about timelines, scope changes, materials, and project status
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites that reflect our high standards
- Help shape how we work: provide input on tools, systems, and process improvements
- Mentor junior techs as we grow, offering guidance, support, and quality checks
- Take pride in delivering polished, detail-oriented results that exceed client expectations
Requirements:
- 10–15+ years of hands-on handyman, remodeling, or general construction experience
- Comfortable independently managing projects, schedules, and on-the-job decisions
- Strong communication and customer service skills — you’re professional, personable, and easy to trust
- Broad knowledge of tools, materials, and safety best practices
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and ability to transport tools and materials as needed
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, using ladders, and working in tight spaces
- Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling, updates, and basic digital tools
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):
- Experience leading crews or training apprentices - formal or informal
- Own your own set of tools, work truck/van, and trade-specific equipment
- Background in small business, project coordination, or estimating work
- Bilingual - especially Spanish is a plus in our market
- Interest in modern systems or tech that makes field work more efficient
- Licensed in a trade (general contractor, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
