Orinda Country Club is looking for a Lead Childcare Attendant to join our Junior Clubhouse team year-round! Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead daily operations of the Junior Clubhouse childcare program
- Create and implement fun, age-appropriate activities including arts and crafts, music, games, and storytelling
- Provide high-quality care and a nurturing environment for children of varying ages
- Train, support, and oversee part-time and seasonal childcare staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized play and learning space
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents regarding childcare programming and feedback
- Collaborate with the Recreation Director to plan events, update policies, and enhance the member experience
- Manage attendance, safety protocols, and incident reporting
- Assist with child transitions, drop-offs, and pick-ups
Schedule:
- Year-round, part-time with potential for additional hours during holidays or special events
- Regular shifts: Wednesday–Sunday 4:00pm–9:00pm and Saturday mornings 8:00am–1:00pm
- Summer hours: Morning 8:00am-1:00pm Monday -Saturday
- Occasional schedule flexibility required for club events and seasonal needs
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in childcare, education, youth programming, or related leadership roles required
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Creative and engaging approach to working with children
- Background in early childhood development or related field preferred
- Ability to lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented environment
- Must be professional, dependable, and CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
Compensation:
- $17.75-$18.00 per hour, depending on experience
