Work Schedule:
Hours: 1:00pm to 11:00pm, four days per week.
Lead Patient Transporter will work one weekend every three weeks.
Summary:
Responsible for transporting patients to and from diagnostic testing, transferring patients between nursing units using wheelchairs, stretchers, or bed.
In addition, this position maintains leadership responsibility to coordinate the work schedule, staffing ratios, oversees daily operations of transport team, team performance, and schedules time off and replacements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Transport patients to and from diagnostic testing. Includes appropriate patient identification, patient comfort, and providing patient information.
- Oversees daily operations of patient transport team.
- Controls staffing ratios, schedules staff time off and replacements.
- Coordinates patient transport schedules.
- Coordinates diagnostic testing in all departments with other transporters related to patient schedules.
- Clean stretchers and wheelchairs between patients.
1 year leadership, patient interaction, and customer service experience.
Knowledge of resources stewardship principles.
Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
