Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Legislative Liaison and Analyst to join our team. We are leading law firm in California and we specialize in landlord / tenant law.
As our Legislative Liaison you will work with our research assistants and the attorneys to compile and distribute all California regulations, policies and procedures that apply to landlords, rental housing and urban development, and tenant's rights compliance.
You will lead in publishing a guide that is specific and proprietary to our company and you will supply it to our premier clientele, answering their questions as needed. you will publish a "legislative updates" email newsletter and proactively alert clients of legislative changes that may affect their properties.
You will work with our Process Manager regarding training of our customer support team to keep the clients proactively informed of laws, forms and procedures that are required to stay aware and informed of all current laws, and regulations in the landlord / tenant industry.
Specific Duties Include:
- Track and forecast changes in the laws throughout California jurisdictions specific to landlord / tenant law.
- Compile and create a central guide, ( handbook and digital website) to house such regulations.
- Disseminate the information to clients, Counsel and support staff.
- Monitor California jurisdictions to keep the document and website current on all new laws and procedures.
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices for efficiency as it relates to your role, including identifying and using new technology and tools.
- Adhere to policies, guidelines and procedures pertaining to the protection of information assets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent reading comprehension, analytical. problem solving, and written communication skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- You have a strong desire to understand laws and regulations
- You have demonstrated success in a competitive environment

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
