Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated MALE CARGEIVERS to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and comfort of clients in various settings, including homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, and dementia.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide personal care and support for individuals in home health, hospice care, and long-term care environments.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status while observing any changes in their condition.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning while accommodating dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client conditions to appropriate personnel.
Experience
Candidates should possess a background that includes:
- Experience in caregiving roles within home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR practices is essential; certification preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism and developmental disabilities.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility challenges.
