Manager - Competitive Intelligence

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Competitive Intelligence, this role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating actionable intelligence on competitors, market trends, and industry developments to support strategic decision-making and maintain ADP’s competitive edge.

  • Develop advanced understanding of competitive technologies and trends impacting a Business Unit (BU) at ADP and become a subject matter Expert (SME) within the organization.
  • Conduct deep competitor assessments – across strategic roadmap, portfolio capabilities, go to market efforts, sales, service delivery and financials – so that the BU can better understand how ADP stacks up and identify opportunities
  • Create and maintain competitive intelligence assets with a focus on delivering compelling content and creative storytelling to enable action
  • Understand complex business challenges and partner with internal stakeholders to help solve for these, which would also require the preparation and presentation of insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization
  • Provide insights that inform Go To Market, product development, marketing strategies, and business planning.

Education/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • 4+ years of experience, preferably in the HCM or B2B SaaS industry in competitive intelligence, Market Insights, consulting, or Corporate Strategy role
  • Well-organized, data driven, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent deliverables
  • Ability to identify strategic needs with little direction
  • Executive presence to gain the confidence of business leaders.
  • Compelling storyteller: Leverages outstanding interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills to present views in a persuasive manner, tailored to audience and objectives
  • Familiar with the SaaS/HCM enterprise software market and or Payroll Compliance (ACA, Garnishments, Tax, etc.) experience is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in market research and competitive intelligence tools and software
  • Strong computer skills including comfort in using and exploring generative AI tools

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $74,100.00 - $150,300.00 / Year*

  • Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
