Position Overview
Vantage is looking for a Manager, Purchasing Support, NA to lead and manage the accounts payable department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of transactions. The selected individual will oversee a team of full-time employees, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
Essential Job Functions
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and goals.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop strategies to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
Invoice Processing:
- Oversee the review and processing of vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve complex issues related to invoice discrepancies.
- Implement process improvements to enhance invoice processing efficiency.
Account Reconciliation:
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions by matching invoices to purchase orders and ensuring proper approvals.
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal stakeholders.
- Conduct regular audits of accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Develop strategies to streamline reconciliation procedures.
Vendor Management:
- Maintain vendor records, ensuring that contact and payment information is up-to-date.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and respond to inquiries.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Negotiate payment terms and conditions with vendors.
- Evaluate vendor performance and provide feedback for improvement.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate accounts payable reports and analysis for the finance team.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all transactions and relevant documentation.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on accounts payable data.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly accounts payable summaries.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Analysis and Strategy:
- Analyze accounts payable data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize accounts payable processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of accounts payable functions.
- Provide analytical support for accounts payable projects and initiatives.
Training and Development:
- Train and mentor accounts payable staff in processes and procedures.
- Develop training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Lead accounts payable projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Team Management:
- Supervise a team of full-time employees, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure team members have the resources and training needed to succeed.
Additional Duties:
- Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Skilled at solving problems and dealing with a variety of options with limited information.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook software.
- Comfortable with IT systems.
- Positive and proactive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Advanced organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details
- Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
- This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
- Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
