About The Role:
As part of the Marketing team, the intern has a passion for creativity, quality, and innovation, and will work with the team to help support Spot's marketing objectives. The intern will assist the marketing team in executing campaigns, create a variety of content, analyze performance metrics, and engaging with our audience. The ideal candidate for this position is eager to learn about digital marketing, branding, social media, graphic design, videography, and public relations while contributing to real-world projects.
The candidate will report to the Director of Marketing and will work within each marketing discipline on the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help create marketing content such as blog posts, newsletters, graphics, and presentations.
- Help research industry journalists in each of Spot's geographic locations and craft pitches to them to generate interest and brand awareness.
- Support email marketing campaigns, including drafting copy and tracking performance.
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media content across multiple platforms.
- Help maintain main website property, including posting content and optimizing pages for search.
- Assist with video filing, categorization, and miscellaneous video projects.
- Assist in updating and maintaining the company intranet with promotions, news, and relevant internal content.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, or related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Eager to learn and comfortable taking initiative.
Pay Information: $15/hr.
