Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Martial Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various martial arts disciplines, including but not limited to Karate, Judo, and other combat sports. This role involves teaching students of all ages and skill levels, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting physical fitness through martial arts training. The instructor will also be responsible for developing lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Teach martial arts classes to students of varying ages and skill levels, focusing on technique, discipline, and respect.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate elements of physical education, behavior management, and skill progression.
- Provide individualized attention to students to enhance their learning experience and address specific needs.
- Maintain a safe training environment by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring proper use of equipment.
- Organize and participate in events such as competitions, demonstrations, or community outreach programs.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a cohesive training program that promotes overall health and fitness.
- Encourage positive behavior management techniques to foster a supportive atmosphere for all participants.
Requirements
- Proven experience in martial arts instruction with proficiency in disciplines such as Taekwondo, Karate,or similar sports.
- Background in teaching physical education or coaching sports (e.g., basketball, cheerleading) is a plus
- Experience working with students in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students of all ages.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting a positive learning environment.
