Job Title: Spray Foam Masking and Taping Technician
Job Summary:The Spray Foam Masking and Taping Technician is responsible for preparing surfaces and areas for spray foam insulation applications. This role involves masking and taping off specific areas to protect them from the foam, ensuring a clean and precise installation. The technician will work closely with the insulation team to maintain high-quality standards while adhering to safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by masking and taping off designated areas, including windows, doors, electrical outlets, and other fixtures, to protect them from spray foam.
Material Handling: Assist in the handling and organization of materials required for masking and taping, ensuring they are readily available for the insulation team.
Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards by ensuring that masking and taping work is done neatly, accurately, and efficiently to avoid overspray and achieve a clean finish.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring a safe work environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with the spray foam insulation team to coordinate and execute tasks effectively, communicating any issues or concerns.
Equipment Maintenance: Keep masking and taping equipment in good working condition and report any equipment issues to the supervisor.
Cleanup: Clean and organize the work area after each job, disposing of waste materials properly and leaving the site in a clean and safe condition.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar role, especially in construction or insulation, is preferred.
Knowledge of masking and taping techniques, materials, and tools; or ability and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
Good communication skills.
Safety-conscious and willingness to follow of safety protocols.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing job requirements.
Working Conditions:
- This position typically involves working at construction sites, both indoors and outdoors.
- May involve exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Proper PPE is essential to ensure safety. PPE is provided and will change depending on the specific job. PPE compliance is essential to prevent exposure to potential chemical fumes from insulation materials.
