Description
Alloy Engineering, located in Berea, OH, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Master Welder to execute advanced welding tasks on a variety of metals, including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and others. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of diverse welding techniques in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
Essential Functions:
- Skilled in GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes.
- Can handle traditional projects and execute most fit-ups as per AECO's requirements.
- Ensure that all welding and fabrication work meets or exceeds the standards of ASME and AWS.
- Accurately interpret and follow both written and verbal instructions to complete tasks efficiently.
- Take ownership of independently managed projects, particularly those involving non-ASME tasks, while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to continuous learning and skill development to stay current with industry advancements.
- Demonstrate accountability for punctuality, consistent attendance, and contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality control, and ongoing skill improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of advanced welding techniques and fabrication experience.
- Being certified in AWS is a plus.
- Must have at least one certification in GMAW or GTAW welding techniques.
- Strong aptitude in using measuring instruments- tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
- The ability to use a forklift and operate a crane is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- The position demands physical endurance, which encompasses:
- Predominantly standing.
- Occasional lifting (weights ranging from 25 to 50 pounds).
- Tasks may also involve pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching as required.
- A standard shift duration is ten hours daily.
- Safety requirements include wearing steel-toe boots and safety glasses.
Note: The plant facility is not equipped with air conditioning.
