Material handler 2 is responsible for selecting and separating products in a safe and efficient manner, which includes reading labels, placing product in the proper locations on pallets and preparing it for shipping or put away. Associates accomplish this by following standard work instructions and utilizing manual pallet jack. Use of hand scanner to enter data in a computer system.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Accurately selects products for put away and shipping.
- Operates manual pallet jack performs all duties in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
- Perform job duties like reading labels, selection, transfers, palletizing, etc. with utmost attention.
- As assigned by the manager
- Ability to repeatedly lift and/or push or pull/reach above shoulder height.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must have the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment including the use and types of materials/tools, method, and work instructions.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum 1 year experience in a Warehouse
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs independently and up to 80lbs with assistance.
- Extended periods of standing/walking
