Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness around all presses and compound holding areas.
- Move all compound materials between the staging area and designated presses.
- Monitor compound levels and only request compound when Gaylord reaches the low point.
- Communicate compound needs to the warehouse team clearly and in a timely manner.
- Sort recyclables into compactors and dispose of trash appropriately.
- Regularly sweep and vacuum around each press as messes are made.
- Keep areas around Gaylords and compound storage clear and safe.
- Remove excess flash, empty flash bins, and consolidate used Gaylords.
- Ensure hoppers/vacuum systems are filled with the correct, uncontaminated compound color.
- Avoid contamination of compounds with other materials (e.g., wood, dust, other colored compounds).
- Remove and store flash/scrap records in designated areas.
- Wrap and transport flash and scrap Gaylords to their proper storage locations.
- Assist maintenance teams during color changeovers:
- Follow directions for moving pallets and material staging for specific jobs or artists.
- Support leads and supervisors with additional materials tasks as needed.
