Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating innovative mechanical designs and ensuring that all designs comply with relevant codes and standards. This role requires proficiency in various design software and a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
Duties
- Develop and produce detailed mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
- Create schematics and technical drawings to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications.
- Utilize SolidWorks with PDM for 3D modeling and coordination of design elements.
- Conduct thorough reviews of designs for compliance with industry codes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including design reports and specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve overall project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and relevant codes/standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in mechanical design is preferred but not mandatory.
