IMI Critical Engineering PBM LLC is seeking a full-time, experienced Polisher.
Duties Include:
Polishing and buffing of metal, glass, plastic, stone, wood, and other materials to a specified finish.
- Using various types of polishing equipment.
- Using a variety of polishing techniques to achieve a smooth, glossy finish.
- Maintaining a clean and neat work area.
- Performing minor repairs on equipment and machines.
- Performing routine preventive maintenance on equipment and machines.
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas.
- Follows all safety procedures.
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar position preferred but not required.
- Experience using abrasive polishing equipment preferred but not required.
- Experience using chemical polishing equipment preferred but not required.
- Experience using power tools preferred but not required (e.g., drill press, impact wrench, hand tools, etc.).
- Experience using an angle grinder preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout day (or up to 100 lbs with equipment).
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (hot & cold) and work overtime as needed.
This position is physically demanding and requires regular use of hands to perform various duties including climbing ladders, standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50lbs throughout day, working in confined spaces as necessary, and regular use of hands to handle handles or reach objects or tools. This position is also very busy with many tasks needing to be completed at the same time and this includes being on your feet for extended periods of time while completing other tasks such as cleaning up shop after you are done working.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.50 per hour
