We are a family-oriented, fast-paced multi-physician Ophthalmology practice looking for a friendly, professional, experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our team. Mustunderstand the medical billing and coding process and be familiar with EOBs and the various components of patient financial responsibility; deductible, co-payment, co-insurance, etc. Responsibilities include posting primary and secondary insurance payments to patient accounts, investigation and resolving denied medical and vision claims, addressing patient billing issues, and monitoring accounts receivable to ensure that outstanding issues are handled within timely filing parameters. A pleasant, professional demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and insurance providers are essential to this position. The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive, cooperative attitude, a commitment to teamwork, and serve our practice with integrity, excellence and compassion. A comfortable office space and a small, friendly billing team await you.
M - F, 8:00 - 5:00. Starting pay may be adjusted depending on experience.
90 day probationary period. Other benefits (once eligibility is met) include health insurance contribution, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, and participation in 401k plan following first full year's employment.
