Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our client who specializes in dermatology. The ideal candidate will provide support to physicians and staff, ensuring smooth patient care and efficient office operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal communication, and a commitment to patient satisfaction.
Duties
- Greet and check in patients, update medical records, and obtain vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including assisting with dermatology-specific treatments (e.g., biopsies, lesion removals, laser treatments).
- Assist providers during patient exams and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as collecting specimens and preparing samples for testing.
- Schedule patient appointments, follow up on referrals, and handle patient communications professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Support billing and coding processes as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or similar).
- Previous experience in a dermatology or outpatient clinic preferred.
- Knowledge of dermatology procedures and terminology a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic office software.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
