Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, such as a Level II Trauma Center or urgent care facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform vital signs checks and document patient information accurately.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for X-Ray procedures and other diagnostic tests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Support inpatient care in various departments, including Dermatology and PICU.
- Educate patients on medication administration and proper inhalation techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Knowledge of human physiology and medical terminology.
- Experience in an urgent care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Level II Trauma Center protocols is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training is required.
- Proficiency in handling medical equipment and performing basic clinical tasks.
