Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of clinical and administrative skills, ensuring smooth operations within our medical facility. This role is pivotal in providing support to healthcare professionals while delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organisation.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
- Process billing information and insurance claims as required.
- Provide patients with information regarding their treatment plans and answer any queries they may have.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant
- BLS, ACLS, and CMA certifications (Required)
- EPIC charting experience (Required)
- Administrative experience is highly desirable, showcasing strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
