Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our dermatology clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a timely manner. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
- Record patient histories and vital signs accurately.
- Administer basic life support when necessary and assist in emergency situations.
- Manage patient scheduling, including follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology and human anatomy.
- Familiarity with dermatology and internal medicine procedures is a plus.
- Proficient in basic life support techniques and certification is preferred.
- Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
- Basic understanding of medical coding accurately for insurance purposes.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records.
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical assistant
- BLS Certification
- Medical administrative support
- Patient service and EHR systems experience preferred
- Understanding of medical terminology

- Experience in hospital, urgent care settings
- Familiarity with medical coding
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
