We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic medical environment. This position will involve working in a clinic setting. The Medical Assistant will assist healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional care to patients of all ages, including geriatrics.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Collaborate with team to enhance patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an inpatient or outpatient setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with primary care is a plus.
- Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent.
