Heart to Heart & Associates is looking for a skilled and experienced medical collections specialist who can effectively and aggressively pursue outstanding A/R and consistently generate revenue through professional billing practices and proper and ethical collection efforts.
Duties
The medical collections specialist will effectively and aggressively pursue outstanding A/R with our network health insurance carriers. You must maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to all debt collection rules and regulations.
You will handle collections, claim denials, claim appeal, and various administrative duties. All debt-related matters will be under your purview, and you will communicate regularly with insurance carriers to pursue payments.
Proficiency in the following areas is preferred:
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and other payer requirements and systems.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Coding, as well as modifiers and CCI edits.
- Understanding various fee schedules
- Knowledge and understanding of explanation of benefits (EOB).
- Effective verbal communication with insurance payers to resolve issues.
- Ability to write solid appeal letters.
- Customer service skills for interacting with patients regarding medical claims and payments.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, ability to prioritize and time manage.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
