The Big Picture
The Medical Education Specialist is responsible for providing education, hands-on training, and product support to customers and internal staff on Baylis Medical Technologies products. They will take on a more direct role in physician training, and apply their expertise of the clinical use of our products to physician and employee training programs within North America. They will collaborate with the USA Sales Team, Marketing team, and other departments to facilitate the commercialization of Baylis Medical Technologies products and enhance customer satisfaction through these programs.
Impact Through Innovation
As per the Medical Education Specialist with the following key responsibilities:
- Design and implement educational programs for HCPs (e.g., surgeons, nurses, technologists), including hands-on workshops, proctorships, webinars, and e-learning modules.
- Support the development and execution of medical education strategies aligned with product launches and clinical adoption goals.
- Develop and maintain training materials (presentations, manuals, procedural videos, etc.) that are clinically accurate and compliant with industry standards.
- Serve as a product resource expert internally to other Baylis Medical Technologies employees.
- Coordinate and implement training programs for the Sales Team and other employees.
- Maintain existing customer relationships through in-servicing and clinical support of Baylis Medical Technologies Products.
- Train and mentor new employees on Baylis Medical Technologies products and relevant procedures.
- Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Your Unique Expertise
Required Skills:
- Completion of Bachelor’s degree with a focus in physiology, biology, anatomy and/or nursing sciences.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time to various locations, sometimes on short notice.
- High energy, self-motivated, positive attitude and results oriented.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand technical information and teach it to others.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to deal with a variety of medical issues.
- Organization and time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
Asset Skills:
- Preferred 2-3 years’ relevant experience in the medical device industry in a clinical setting.
