Berkeley Eye Center has been a vision care leader in the Greater Houston area for 60 years.
The continued growth of Berkeley Eye Center has created a need for the Front Desk Floater position to help cover vacations and unscheduled absences. This is a full-time position offering 38-40 hours a week. (Please go to www.berkeleyeye.com to see our locations that you may be asked to cover.)
To be successful in this position you must be able provide excellent customer service through friendliness, competency, flexibility and dependability. Good communication skills and integrity is a must.
Ideal Candidates:
- 2+ years of medical office experience handling patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling and insurance verification. (Vision Care experience a plus)
- Excellent Communications skills on the phone and in person. Attention to detail & able to multitask.
- Reliable data entry skills.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records helpful. Reliable Transportation (High tolerance of Houston traffic). This position will involve rotating between several locations that could change on a daily basis.
We pay mileage in compliance with the guidance of the IRS. This position is a great way to get your foot in the door with one of the leading vision care providers in Texas. Most floaters eventually move into a single location position within 1-2 years.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
