At Clinical Associates, we make being healthy easier. We connect our patients to a seamless system of integrated medical care, which includes in-house specialists in areas of practice, from cardiology to podiatry. We do our best to take care of everything for our patients – records, scheduling appointments, coordinating with providers and specialists, and each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site.
We are seeking experienced Medical Scribes to join our team in Towson! Flexibility is a must and willingness to travel to our office in Pikesville 1 evening per week is required. The primary goal of a Medical Scribe is to increase the efficiency and the productivity of the physician / healthcare provider. The Medical Scribe allows the healthcare provider to focus on the patient.
- SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (Full Time and Part Time available)
- Location: 515 Fairmount Avenue, Towson, MD 21286 - * Requires travel to our Pikesville office in the Woodholme Medical Building 1 evening per week.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Accurately and thoroughly documents medical visits and procedures in the Electronic Health Record as they are being performed by the physician.
- Prepare documentation of physician-dictated diagnoses, prescriptions, and instructions for patient or family members for self-care and follow-up.
- Comply with specific standards that apply to the style of medical records and to the legal and ethical requirements for preparing medical documents and for keeping patient information confidential.
- Ensure that all clinical data, lab or other test results, the interpretation of the results by the physician are recorded accurately in the medical record.
- Proofread and edit all the physician’s medical documents for accuracy, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some college / Course work in Sciences or Pre-med track preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Scribe or medical transcription.(Required)
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments to the extent required to understand and accurately transcribe dictated reports.
- Translate medical abbreviations into their expanded forms. Familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
