We deliver community‑based Mental Health Skill‑Building Services (MHSS) in alignment with DMAS and DBHDS standards. Our focus is person‑centered care, regulatory compliance, and helping individuals build skills for independence.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide skill‑building interventions to adults with mental health needs in their homes and communities. The QMHP is responsible for implementing ISP‑based interventions, documenting services in compliance with DMAS and DBHDS regulations, and supporting clients in meeting their recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver face‑to‑face MHSS services in accordance with the client’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP).
- Develop, implement, and monitor skill‑building interventions linked to ISP goals.
- Complete accurate, detailed, person‑centered progress notes during each session.
- Maintain strict compliance with DMAS and DBHDS documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with supervisors, treatment teams, and community resources to support client needs.
- Uphold professional ethics and client confidentiality at all times.
- Other duties as deemed necessary .
Qualifications (per DBHDS/DMAS requirements):
- Must meet DBHDS definition of QMHP‑A: Bachelor’s degree in human services field (psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, etc.) with relevant mental health experience OR Master’s degree in human services field.
- Minimum one year of experience providing direct mental health services to adults or children.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Medicaid behavioral health services.
- Experience writing person‑centered, billable progress notes.
