We are seeking a reliable and experienced Level 2 Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team as an independent contractor. This position requires travel to Camp Verde, AZ on Mondays, Fridays, and every other Wednesday to collect laboratory specimens from geriatric patients in:
- Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs)
- Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs)
- Rehabilitation Centers
Following each collection day, all specimens must be delivered to a laboratory in Tempe, AZ.
This is a flexible, high-impact role ideal for a self-motivated healthcare professional who values independence and meaningful work with the elderly population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to Camp Verde on Mondays, Fridays, and every other Wednesday
- Perform venipuncture and collect specimens according to requisitions
- Label, document, and prepare specimens for transport
- Drop off specimens in Tempe, AZ after each collection day
- Maintain professionalism and follow all HIPAA, safety, and infection control guidelines
- Build rapport with facility staff and elderly patients
- Accurately track requisitions and mileage for compensation
Requirements:
- Level 2 Phlebotomist certification (required)
- At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience (mobile or geriatric setting preferred)
- Current malpractice (liability) insurance (required)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation
- Excellent venipuncture and specimen handling skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working with elderly patients in long-term care settings
Compensation:
- Per requisition collected (paid per successful draw)
- Mileage reimbursement for travel (including from Camp Verde to Tempe)
- 1099 Contractor Position (no benefits included)
