Multimedia Designer – Web, Graphic & Video

OVERVIEW
Are you a visual storyteller who can design, shoot, animate, and build it too? Westcliff University is seeking a versatile Multimedia
Designer to create bold, engaging content across web, video, social, print, and more.
From dynamic websites and digital ads to branded merch and short-form videos, you'll collaborate with a fast-paced creative team to bring ideas to life that resonate with diverse audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & Visual Content
- Conceptualize and create high-impact marketing assets including web design (a priority for us), social graphics, email banners, digital ads, brochures, flyers, and sell sheets
- Apply best practices in layout, color theory, typography, and branding
- Contribute to the development of creative strategies and campaigns
Web & UI Design
- Design responsive, user-centric web pages for desktop and mobile
- Collaborate with in-house developers and content teams to ensure flawless execution
- Edit HTML or CSS to adjust color, size, or style of fonts, CTAs, borders, or container backgrounds
- Convert, compress, and resize image and file formats for optimal site performance
- Create branded assets: blog thumbnails, hero banners, headshot crops, etc.
Video Production
- Shoot and edit short-form videos for marketing and promotional use
- Handle transitions, basic motion graphics, color correction, and sound mixing
- Collaborate on storyboarding and scripting when needed
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with creative team members, developers, and agency partners
- Present creative ideas to internal stakeholders and adjust based on feedback
- Stay ahead of design trends, tools, and technologies to keep our brand ahead of the curve
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in a creative agency or in-house marketing/creative team
- Strong portfolio or website showcasing web, video and graphic work (required)
- Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro
- Familiarity with XD, Figma, After Effects, WordPress page builders (Divi, Avada, WPBakery)
- Skilled in video editing and production (camera use, lighting, color correction)
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript fundamentals (not coding daily, but enough to collaborate effectively)
- Experience with web builders such as Divi Builder, Avada Builder, and WPBakery Builder
- Experience using web design plugins such as Slider Revolution
- Knowledge of responsive design principles and UX/UI best practices
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines with grace
- Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit
Bonus Points For
- Wireframing or UI prototyping experience
- Motion graphics or animation experience
- SEO, accessibility, and digital content writing familiarity
- Comfort using Monday.com or other project management tools
