Position Summary
Serve as a senior-level planner supporting joint and multinational communications interoperability initiatives across the Indo-Pacific region. This position is embedded within U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) and associated joint task forces to coordinate, plan, and assess bilateral and multilateral command, control, communications, computers, and information (C4I) activities and exercises. The ideal candidate has advanced military education, significant Indo-Pacific regional experience, and fluency in multinational operational planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and integration of joint and multinational C4I interoperability exercises across the INDOPACOM AOR.
- Support the development of communications annexes, exercise objectives, and training scenarios for partner nation engagement.
- Advise senior leadership on multinational network integration, cross-domain information sharing, and mission partner environment (MPE) solutions.
- Coordinate with foreign military representatives, U.S. service components, and interagency stakeholders to ensure seamless interoperability.
- Conduct after-action reviews (AARs), lessons-learned integration, and improvement plans tied to joint and combined communication events.
- Monitor regional geopolitical developments to anticipate impacts on communications posture and allied cooperation.
- Provide subject matter expertise in joint doctrine, operational planning, and command and control (C2) frameworks.
Qualifications
Required:
- 15+ years of experience supporting DoD operations, with at least 10 years in the INDOPACOM AOR.
- Master’s degree in Military Operational Art and Science, Joint Campaign Planning, or related field.
- Extensive experience planning and executing multinational or combined joint exercises involving C4I systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of Mission Partner Environment (MPE), coalition networks, and spectrum operations.
- Proficient in the Joint Planning Process (JPP), operational design, and Theater Campaign Plans (TCPs).
Preferred:
- Graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), SAASS, or Advanced Joint Professional Military Education (AJPME).
- Familiarity with APAN, CENTRIXS, and coalition interoperability tools.
- Language proficiency or cultural fluency with key Indo-Pacific partners (e.g., Japan, Philippines, Australia, South Korea).
- Experience working with foreign liaison officers and multinational coordination centers.
