Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Babysitter/Nanny to provide care for two children in beautiful home in Herndon, VA.
The position will start in August—flexible 2-3 days/week (30-40 hrs.), caring for a baby and toddler. Pay is $25/hr.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and daily activities.
- Provide toddler care, including diaper changes, potty training, and assistance with personal hygiene.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines.
- Organize age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by tidying up play areas and maintaining cleanliness after meals.
- Administer first aid when necessary and handle any minor injuries or emergencies calmly.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's daily activities, behavior, and any concerns.
Requirements
- Previous experience in babysitting or nannying is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of toddler and baby care practices and child development principles.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
- Ability to prepare healthy meals suitable for young children.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Patience, reliability, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Must be able to pass background checks related to childcare.
