Compensation: $25 PER HOUR TO START/INCREASE WHEN 2ND CHILD ARRIVES
Schedule: MONDAY - THURSDAY; 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, AND FRIDAYS; 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM
ABOUT THE FAMILY: Nanny care beginning mid-September for a 20-month-old; welcoming a newborn in January. Care will happen in two locations - on-site at Mom's workplace (a downtown church with a nursery that is available during the week for the family exclusively) and at home (Edina). Worksite locations will depend on Mom's work schedule, which, for most weeks, is consistent. The family enjoys outdoor activities - walking, hiking, running, skiing, rowing, swimming, yoga, and traveling. They also enjoy music and the arts, as well as spending time with family and friends.
One large Bernedoodle who is well-behaved.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Has experience caring for multiple children of different ages, including infants and toddlers
- Has experience assisting infants with their first foods and is comfortable preparing nutritious midday meals and snacks for infants and toddlers.
- Is comfortable working in both a home where at least one parent works from home - and a professional workplace where one parent is the leader of the organization
- Is creative in offering stimulating activities for children as they grow, including music, crafts, outdoor play, indoor play, and safe outings, and everyday household activities like learning how to participate in laundry, meal clean up, etc.
- Is comfortable with a dog at home
- Is broad-minded and accepting of all people
- Is open to and supportive of the family's spiritual/religious commitments
- Values clear and frequent communication
- Be Covid vaccinated
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Child care for one child to start, and adding the second next year
- Keeping kids' spaces tidy
- Keeping kids' clothes clean/kids laundry
- Kids meal prep (during care times)
- Be flexible with additional hours negotiated well in advance
