We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Educator to join our team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational programs tailored to the needs of patients in acute care and long-term care environments.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate the dietary requirements of patients, ensuring alignment with their health goals.
- Provide training on tube feeding procedures and dietary systems to healthcare staff and caregivers.
- Collaborate with the Dietary department to create informative materials that address nutrition and aliment-related topics for patients.
- Facilitate workshops and seminars aimed at promoting weight loss and healthy lifestyle choices among patients.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust educational strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Stay updated on best practices in geriatrics and nutrition education to enhance program effectiveness.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of tube feeding techniques and dietary systems relevant to patient care.
- Experience in working within the Dietary department, particularly in relation to weight loss programs.
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation methods for assessing patient needs in both hospital and long-term care settings.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Compassionate approach towards educating patients, particularly in geriatrics, ensuring sensitivity to their unique challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams to promote comprehensive patient education.
