Occupational Nurse (TS Clearance)

Responsibilities
- Administer individualized health assessments and provide employees with annual prevention screenings and education
- Assist in providing emergency response care to personnel at NSA in Texas (NSAT) including use of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillators (AED)
- Provide walk-in acute care and first-aid to NSAT personnel on an as needed basis
- Operate medical equipment to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Electrocardiograph (EKG), Visual/Color Acuity, Blood Pressure Machine, Thermometer, and Pulse-Oximeter
- Conduct workplace ergonomic assessments in accordance with NSA Ergonomics Program. Provide educational information on injury prevention and musculoskeletal disorders caused by exposure to work-related activities
- Coordinate the NSAT random drug testing program for civilian employees. Duties include setting up facilities, managing notification letters, packaging, and shipping testing samples to the predetermined, Government-contracted laboratory.
- Act as the COVID-19 Response site case manager, providing contact tracing and statistical data to the leadership team, and ensuring timely return-to-work schedules and a safe and healthy workforce. Work with other non-NSA Healthcare organizations at Joint Base San Antonio.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with current state of Texas license
- Two (2) years of post RN Program completion experience as an RN
- One (1) year experience in work-life services preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with AEDs
- Must be a US Citizen
Clearance
- Minimum requirement: an active Top Secret clearance verifiable in DISS
- Strongly preferred with immediate consideration: a TS/SCI clearance with full scope polygraph or possess a current CI polygraph/Conditional Certification of Access (CCA) pending the successful completion and adjudication of a full scope polygraph
