About the Role
Beacon Fire Protection is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Operations Manager with experience in the fire protection industry to oversee day-to-day operations and drive execution from work orders through job completion. The ideal candidate combines industry knowledge with strong leadership and organizational skills, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and ready to bill.
The Operations Manager will report directly to the CEO while working closely with the Managing Director, who leads sales, estimating, and client delivery. Together, these roles balance revenue generation and operational execution. The Operations Manager ensures operational efficiency, aligns schedules and resources with sales commitments, and strengthens the company’s financial performance by improving execution discipline and cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency in scheduling, contract management, finance coordination, and project execution.
- Own jobs from work order through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, to code, and ready to bill.
- Partner with the Managing Director to align operational capacity with sales and project commitments.
- Monitor operational performance, ensuring accurate and timely billing, strong cash flow, and reduced bottlenecks.
- Provide leadership across office and field coordination, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Identify and implement practical improvements that strengthen scheduling, job execution, and administrative accuracy.
- Maintain accountability by tracking and reporting KPIs to the CEO.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of operations or project management experience within fire protection or a closely related industry (sprinklers, alarms, suppression, or life safety).
- Strong understanding of fire protection codes, standards, and compliance requirements.
- NICET III (Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems) preferred; NICET II or equivalent accepted with commitment to progress to NICET III.
- Proven ability to manage contracts, scheduling, billing processes, and financial tracking.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Hands-on use of project management and scheduling tools.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Salary: Based on experience and qualifications

Pay: $55,185.68 - $66,460.17 per year
