The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire an Operations Supervisor to join our Transportation Department!

We are looking for an Operations Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of the Bus and Parcel C divisions. Under the direction of the Transportation Director, this position plays a key leadership role in overseeing personnel, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, managing complex service plans, and maintaining operational excellence.
Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:

Oversees the setup and operation of the seasonal Bus and Facility divisions including purchasing, service plans, interviewing applicants and making hiring recommendations, onboarding, training of staff, production of schedules, budget information, and annual reports.

Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the parking program to assist in the Parking Program Manager’s absence.

Generates bills for special services and/or parking revenues.

Evaluates staff job performance and addresses performance issues, as necessary. Trains and/or tests new employees on CDL Skill Tests.

Ensures driver training in Town, State and Federal safety policies/guidelines, customer service, sensitivity in dealing with the physically challenged passengers

Enforces drug and alcohol regulations and manages drug tests within the organization including ‘Pre-Employment,” “Random,” “Return to Duty,” “Reasonable Suspicion” and “Post Accident” testing. Monitors drivers’ “fitness-for-duty” under Drug Free Workplace standards.

Conducts surveys and produces detailed reports on efficiency of services and makes recommendations to improve services.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications/skills:
- Any combination of experience, education and training equivalent to a two-year associate degree.
- A minimum of four years in transit industry, including a minimum of two years of supervisory experience and experience applying metrics in the workplace.
- Training in accident investigation is desirable.
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations relative to transit operations under the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration and the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), the Americans with Disabilities Act and Passenger Service and Safety (PASS)program, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, the Federal Drug Free Workplace Act, and Town’s Drug and Alcohol policies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have a basic understanding of computers and online computer-based technology applications, including web-based platforms.
- Knowledge of and ability to identify issues with equipment, policies, regulations, and technology in transit and parking industry
- Ability to issue oral and written instructions to direct staff and project a professional disposition with customers and employees.
- Is currently, or has the ability to become, a certified CDL tester under the provisions of Title 42, 42-2-407 of the Colorado Revised Statue in compliance with the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Third Party Testing program.
- Posses a valid CDL, Class B rated with P2 and Air Brake endorsements or ability to acquire within 3 months
- Comply with Drug and Alcohol Testing guidelines per the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Department of Transportation, at 49 C.F.R. Part 382, and the Town’s Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Certification in “Reasonable Suspicion” and “Post Accident” drug and alcohol testing or ability to acquire within 3 months.
