The sea-going marine technician supports coastal ocean observing on the West Florida Shelf and Tampa Bay including, but not limited to, pre-cruise preparation, sensor testing, cruise participation (maintaining moorings and water quality stations, water sampling), post-cruise logistics, sensor calibrations, and preliminary data processing.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physical or Biological Sciences and 3 years of engineering or scientific experience; or a Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical or Biological Sciences and 1 year of engineering or scientific experience.
FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.
