We are rapidly growing and looking for a skilled experienced optician to join our team and grow with us.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Experienced Optician with at least 3 years of proven optical experience—someone who knows the craft of eyewear from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of edging, lab operations, frame styling, insurance processing, and providing top-tier patient care. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the optical experience in a modern, beautiful, and well-equipped setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform eyewear fabrication including edging and finishing lenses in our on-site lab
- Manage daily lab operations, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency
- Fit, adjust, and repair eyeglasses with precision and care
- Style and guide patients in selecting frames and lenses based on their needs and preferences
- Accurately process and submit optical orders to labs and insurance providers
- Maintain inventory of lenses, frames, and lab supplies
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience with warmth and professionalism
- Collaborate with the practice owner to develop processes as the office grows
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of optician experience (licensed optician preferred)
- Strong edging and optical lab experience required
- Deep understanding of optical products, materials, and fitting techniques
- Knowledge of insurance submissions and order processing
- Excellent communication, styling, and customer service skills
- Motivated, dependable, and excited to grow with a new practice
- Team player with a positive attitude and professional appearance
