Position Summary:
Experienced and highly organized Orthopaedic Clinical Manager & Surgery Scheduler Manager to oversee day-to-day clinical operations and manage surgical scheduling within our busy orthopaedic practice. This dual-role position requires a proactive leader with strong clinical knowledge, administrative experience, and the ability to coordinate patient care from the exam room to the operating room.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Management Duties:
· Supervise and coordinate daily clinical operations.
· Lead, train, and evaluate clinical staff including medical assistants.
· Oversee patient flow, rooming, triage, and documentation processes to optimize efficiency and care quality.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
· Collaborate closely with orthopaedic physicians to support clinic needs and goals.
· Provide clinical staff education and facilitate onboarding of new hires.
· Manage clinic scheduling and staffing levels.
· Manage clinical inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
· Address patient concerns and support resolution of clinical service issues.
· Act as a liaison between clinical staff and upper management.
Surgical Scheduling Duties:
· Knowledge of all aspects of surgical scheduling, including booking with hospitals/ASCs, obtaining pre-authorizations, and verifying benefits.
· Collaborate with surgeons and OR teams to ensure accurate and timely scheduling.
· Monitor and resolve any scheduling conflicts, delays, or cancellations.
· Ensure compliance with surgical protocols and insurance requirements.
Qualifications:
· Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required, administrative degree a plus
· Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience in orthopedics or musculoskeletal care.
· Prior leadership or management experience preferred.
· Strong knowledge of orthopedic procedures, terminology, and patient care protocols.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical workflow systems.
