- Operate paint spraying equipment to apply finishes to interior and exterior doors and parts
- Conduct pre-checks and routine maintenance on spray equipment, including airless pumps and HVLP sprayers.
- Read and interpret work orders to determine specifications such as color, size, and type.
- Verify accuracy of parts and materials before beginning work.
- Perform visual and quality inspections before and after spraying.
- Mix paint and transfer paint from large to small containers as required.
- Move doors onto conveyor systems and into ovens for curing.
- Collaborate with team members to handle and flip doors to spray all sides
- Support material preparation tasks as needed
- Handle surface preparation chemicals, paint, and unframed glass units safely
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Help with door repairs and general housekeeping
- Maintain an adequate level of product knowledge
- Move components and materials safely and report issues to leadership
- Wear PPE such as composite/steel toed shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves (per job function), and high visibility clothing.
- High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 Years Old
- Work safely and follow all plant rules
- Show initiative, be a self-starter
- Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
- Ability to multi-task
- Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have end of shift flexibility
- Read a tape measure and do basic math
- Preferably one year experience in a manufacturing setting
- Stand for 8 - 10 hours straight
- Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
- Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 50-pounds)
- Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
- Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods
