Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of color theory and blueprint reading. This role involves both interior and exterior painting, as well as fixture installation and remodeling tasks. The Painter will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure high-quality finishes on all projects.
Duties
- Perform construction and industrial painting tasks on various surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and fixtures.
- Install fixtures and assist with frame carpentry as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Apply knowledge of color theory to select appropriate paint colors and finishes for each project.
- Utilize power tools effectively for preparation and application of paint.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, or applying primer as necessary.
- Work with stucco materials for exterior applications when required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or industrial painting is preferred.
- Familiarity with fixture installation, frame carpentry, and remodeling practices is a plus.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications.
- Knowledge of color theory and its application in painting projects.
- Proficiency in using power tools safely and effectively.
- Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
