JOB SUMMARY:
As a Painting and Resurfacing Technician at AG Living, you are responsible for restoring and refreshing the appearance of interior surfaces throughout our residential communities. This includes detailed painting, resurfacing tubs and countertops, and minor surface repair work. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail enhance the overall aesthetic of the property and contribute to resident satisfaction. You will be a key member of the mobile make ready team and require travel to sites in DFW.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Surface Preparation & Application:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, repairing cracks, and masking surrounding areas.
- Apply paint, epoxy, sealants, and resurfacing materials to walls, ceilings, doors, tubs, countertops, and cabinetry.
- Match paint colors and finishes according to specifications.
Resurfacing Projects:
- Perform reglazing and resurfacing of tubs, countertops, and tile surfaces using specialized coatings and techniques.
- Ensure quality finishes that meet durability and aesthetic standards.
Maintenance Collaboration:
- Coordinate with maintenance team to support unit turnovers and special projects.
- Communicate surface damage, leaks, & structural issues to appropriate team members for resolution.
- Will require dependable transportation to travel to sites across DFW.
Work Site Safety & Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment before, during, and after projects.
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
- Identify and report potential hazards to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
Time and Materials Management:
- Track time and supplies used for each project to ensure efficiency.
- Request materials and ensure adequate inventory for upcoming projects.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition.
- Keep tools secure and prevent theft or loss.
Customer Service:
- Interact professionally with residents and staff.
- Respond to inquiries or complaints related to painting/resurfacing work with a customer-focused attitude.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of professional painting or resurfacing experience required.
- Experience with spray equipment, rollers, brushes, and resurfacing tools is strongly preferred.
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong knowledge of painting materials, surface preparation, and coating techniques.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality finishes.
- Effective communication skills and professionalism when dealing with residents and coworkers.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver?s license preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on ladders, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
