Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Paraprofessionals to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support classroom activities and assist in the development of students' academic and social skills. This role is crucial in fostering a positive learning environment, particularly for students with diverse needs, including those with special education requirements.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
- Support students
- Facilitate classroom management to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with disabilities or autism.
- Participate in curriculum development and lesson planning to enhance educational outcomes.
- Engage in behavior management strategies to promote positive student behavior.
- Foster early childhood education principles through hands-on activities and interactions.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adapt instructional methods as needed.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all children, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student needs and progress.
Requirements
- Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Previous experience in daycare or private school settings is a plus.
